Last week Patuxent River Naval Air Station celebrated the centennial of the first catapult launch of an aircraft by launching one of each catapult-capable aircraft type stationed at the base. The event was open to base personnel, so of course I was there with my camera gear. Unfortunately, they scrubbed the launches of the EA-6B and T-45, but they did launch four different F/A-18 variants (F/A-18B, F/A-18D, F/A-18F, and EA-18G) and an E-2C. Awesome... :-)
