During my last trip to Point Mugu for work in 2006, we had a chance to drive out to the Planes Of Fame Museum in Chino, California, an hour or so east of Los Angeles. It was well worth the drive, as I don't think I've seen such a good collection of WWII aircraft in one place before. Even more amazing, almost all of the aircraft have been restored to flying condition. In fact, we just missed their yearly airshow by two days, a fact that I will lament for some time and hope to correct next year.
