A I wouldn't really consider these photos from Washington DC "travel," as we only live an hour and a half away. Still, we don't visit there nearly enough...

I've grouped several photo shoots together: the latest photos are from our recent trip into D.C. for the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in July 2007. This year three areas were spotlighted: Northern Island, the Mekong River, and Virginia heritage. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but there are a couple from stops along the National Mall and then some pictures of the exhibits themselves.

We happened to stop in Washington in February 2006 for a couple of hours and visited the area near the Capitol, including the Air and Space Museum and the new National Museum of the American Indian.

In July 2005, my wife was attending a convention in DC, so I tagged along and spent the day wandering around.
