In June 2007 we spent a week in the Pacific Northwest on vacation. The main point of heading out that way was to see The Police concert in Vancouver, so we decided to spend a couple of days in Seattle before heading up that way, spending the rest of our week there.

The weather was great almost our entire time there; we only had rain for part of our first day, and we spent most of it at the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum , something we had planned for in advance. The next couple of days in Seattle were beautiful, sunny and in the high 70s/low 80s. We got to exploree downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, and Pioneer Square. Later we drove up to Volunteer Park, where we visited the wonderful Conservatory; check out my macros of flowers and plants in the Macros/Flora album. We then drove up to Fremont, where we got to see the Fremont Troll, statue of Lenin, and the Fremont Rocket, among other things. The evening was spent with our friends Toby and Miryam, who took us to Ballard Locks before a great dinner at the nearby Ray's Boathouse restaurant, which allowed for a stunning sunset view to the west.

The next day we were off to Vancouver; more on that soon...

The pictures are ordered chronologically from earliest to latest; I'll be steadily adding more pictures and a better introduction as I get through them...
